Sure, there's some fun in following and being followed by interesting people from all over the world, but you're right: the biggest impact is connecting locally.<br /><br />The Clovis Chamber also has had the same experience. We've been able to use that Twitter account to communicate with members that we don't see often in person. But we are communicating regularly. Plus, we've found local business people (a few practically in our backyard) whom we might not otherwise have found.
